Incorporating Formula 1 proven technical features and karting specific innovations, the new Tech-1 KZ shoe has undergone a major evolution to continue to deliver exceptional performance in karting. Alpinestars' new asymmetrical instep lacing and exclusive wire closure system provide lightweight, precise support and an anatomical forefoot profile, while new external reinforcements on the rounded heel and ankles provide high levels of protection and performance. Minimal seams, a new F1-specific ultra-thin grip sole and new strategically placed laser-cut perforation zones make the Tech-1 KZ shoe one of the most advanced shoes in karting.
CONSTRUCTION:
- Collar padding made of nitrile rubber for comfort and weight savings.
- Alpinestars' Lace-Lock system made with an advanced polymer resin ensures a quick, precise and secure closure of the shoe.
- Advanced seamless heat-sealed construction composed of ultra-thin PU film and 3D mesh to provide extremely lightweight performance and maximum foot sensitivity thanks to the "sock" effect, without pressure points on the foot for excellent comfort and fit.
MAIN FEATURES:
- External reinforcements on the heel, ankle and internal toe for abrasion resistance and protection.
- Double asymmetric closure system incorporating an adjustable ultra-thin strap with hook-and-loop closure and aramid quick lacing. The system integrates the wire closure system developed exclusively by Alpinestars, which strategically wraps the foot for optimal support and structure and offers durability, precise fit and secure closure.
- The soft microfiber collar is cut lower in the back to allow for greater Achilles heel comfort and improved range of motion.
- The tongue features soft perforated padding for maximum comfort and a better fit.
- The new elegant profile of the shoe follows the anatomy of the foot and guarantees excellent fit and performance.
- Laser vents and perforations on the upper, with 3D mesh on the tongue, provide excellent breathability and comfort.
- Alpinestars innovative heel counter for maximum performance: an ergonomic polypropylene heel counter provides support and stability within the shoe, while a flatter forefoot with die-cut ribs provides greater sensitivity on the pedals.
- The ultra-thin Formula 1 specific outsole uses Alpinestars exclusive rubber compound for pedal feel and grip, in both wet and dry conditions.
