A complete evolution for the Tech-1 KX shoe offers serious kart racers optimized levels of fit, flexibility and lightweight performance. With a completely new seamless heat-sealed construction for a superior feel, as well as a new design for the anatomical profile in particular on the toe area, the Tech-1 KX also incorporates an innovative asymmetrical closure system for a progressive fit and support, as well as an ultra-thin formula with a specific sole for grip and sensitivity on the pedals.
CONSTRUCTION:
- Advanced seamless heat-sealed construction composed of PU film and 3D mesh for ultra-light performance, with no pressure points on the foot for greater comfort and superior feel.
- Collar padding made of nitrile rubber for comfort and weight savings.
- The soft microfiber collar is cut lower in the back to allow for greater comfort of the Achilles heel and better freedom of movement.
- The 3D mesh on the tongue and collar, as well as perforations on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe, offer optimal internal breathability and cooling.
KEY FEATURES:
- Designed and developed specifically for the stresses of kart racing.
- The new sleek profile of the shoe follows the anatomy of the foot and ensures excellent fit and performance.
- External reinforcements on the heel, ankle and inner toe for abrasion resistance and protection.
- Alpinestars' Lace-Lock system made with an advanced polymer resin ensures a quick, precise and secure closure of the shoe.
- The dual asymmetrical closure system incorporates an ultra-thin adjustable strap with hook-and-loop closure plus a quick aramid lacing paired with para-aramid eyelets for durability, a custom fit and a secure closure.
- The tongue features perforated soft padding for comfort and a better fit.
- Alpinestars Innovative Heel Counter for Maximum Performance: An ergonomic polypropylene heel counter provides support and stability inside the shoe, while a flatter forefoot with die-cut ribs provides greater feel on the pedals.
- The ultra-thin Formula 1-specific outsole uses Alpinestars' exclusive rubber compound for pedal feel and grip, in both wet and dry conditions.
