With this model, New-Line Racing clearly demonstrates its resources and capabilities in the field of innovation. Starting with a classic BIG model, the Italian company’s engineers have developed a dual cooling circuit. Essentially, the Double radiator is split into two sections within the reservoirs, both the upper and lower ones. In this way, the water enters from the top and flows only through the outermost part of the radiator – that is, the section furthest from the rider. From there, it flows downwards through the radiator core, undergoing an initial reduction in temperature. Once it reaches the base, in the lower reservoir, it rises upwards through a welded external aluminium pipe and heads towards the second section of the radiator core, the one closest to the rider’s seat. Here too, the water flows through the radiator from top to bottom to complete a second cooling cycle before returning towards the engine, driven by the water pump.
Compared to the Big model from which it is derived, it certainly offers better cooling performance; on the other hand, it requires greater care and attention during the installation and bleeding of the system.
Further optimization of air flows is ensured by the standard installation of the rear deflector, capable of diverting hot air from the rear tire and promoting its outflow from behind the radiator.
Such a radiator is suitable for KZ engines.
