Starting from the already established success of the BUMPER and following the changes in the sports scenario, the technology of BENGIO evolves today towards the new AB7 RIB PROTECTOR, the first rib guard of the BENGIO family approved by FIA 8870-2018.
TOTAL BODY SAFETY
The usual side protection is integrated with sternum and back protection elements to achieve seamless safety in which the entire chest area finds the right protection and comfort.
- Back protector: impact resistance tested to 100 joules
- Chest protector: shock resistance tested at 60 joules
- Rib protector: impact resistance tested at 100 joules
The FIA standard requires that, during the impact, the energy transmitted to the body does not exceed 1kN. The AB7 tests have performed far better than required standards.
DESIGN AND ERGONOMICS
The AB7 trim allows a greater grip on the body in all its parts. The new shaping of the side shells ensures a better fit when the rider is in the driving position, while the elastic straps allow an adjustment adaptable to each body.
LOCKING SYSTEM
Thanks to the new locking system designed and deposited by BENGIO, the rider can wear and adjust the rib guard in a simple, fast and safe way, ensuring the standards required by the FIA and ensuring that the protection remains stable while driving.
MATERIALS
The use of composite fibers guarantees the highest standards of strength and safety in case of impact, even after countless uses. The high absorption rubber inner lining allows the dispersion of shocks and vibrations to which the chest is inevitably subjected during driving.

AB7 is entirely handmade in Italy. The in-house design and manufacturing of each component allows to have a strict control on product quality to guarantee the safety that we promise to every rider who chooses our products.
