Which one to choose between standard guide and brass guide?
- Guide with standard insert: entirely made of plastic/expanded material, so sliding on the metal rods of the tray can generate friction between the two different materials due to continuous rubbing over time and wear out. The advice is therefore to opt for a float with standard guidance on more moderate uses where extreme performance is not sought.
- Brass insert guide: composed of a metal brass insert drowned in the sliding hole thanks to which it drastically reduces friction. By doing so, it allows for a smoother, faster and more precise sliding action. The advice is therefore to opt for a float with a brass guide if you are using it for racing uses where the engine produces strong vibrations.
