The Arai SK-6 NEW was designed specifically for karting. Adding additional features and improvements to the already impressive SK-5. Built using Arai CLC (Complex Laminate Construction), the shell of the SK-6 is so strong that it allows the use of a very soft EPS coating for better comfort and impact energy management.
The helmet will be SUPPLIED WITH TRANSPARENT VISOR.
APPROVAL SNELL K2020 NEW, which guarantees maximum lightness.
The main features are:
- Four ventilation holes in inlet and outlet with enlarged diameter of the ventilation holes in both front and rear area, where the two holes are covered by the Formula Duct air intake. There are also two ventilation holes in the chin guard area.
- Visor type F1 of 3 mm thickness prepared for the use of tear-off lenses (visor not interchangeable with that of the model GP-5) with closing system with sticks that facilitate its opening.
- Visor equipped with locking system to simplify the opening even wearing gloves
- Reduced aperture of the visor housing, which now reaches 60 mm
- Shell built with CLC (Complex Laminate Construction) technology: two layers of Super Fibre and an intermediate layer of composite fibres that are both resistant and lightweight at the same time.
- Extended helmet opening to increase comfort when you fit and touch the helmet.
- Stiffening ribs at the base of the helmet implemented to increase the rigidity of the shell.
- Polystyrene in a single shell with differentiated density. The exclusive Arai technology allows to create an internal shock-absorbing shell with several different densities in a single element, instead of assembling elements of different densities to obtain the final inner shell.
- Super safe, even if not required by current European legislation, Arai tests its helmets with an additional safety check: the penetration test subjects the helmet to the impact of a metal cone of 3kg, from a height of 3 meters.
